A Look Back at 2018

I seriously can’t believe 2018 is coming to a close in just a few short days! I am always amazed at how quickly the year flies by. Especially once I hit my birthday, which is at the end of August, because then it’s my hubby’s bday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and bam…here we are.

As the new year approaches, I love looking back on the past year and all the great memories that were made – what can I say?…I’m a nostalgic person. So this blog post will be a little lengthy and self-centered, I’m sorry (!!), but I can’t end the year without a recap.

Nordstrom Round-Up

Isn’t it always a great day (or week, really) when Nordstrom is having a sale? I absolutely love Nordstrom, but can’t always afford some of the pieces I really love so I always take advantage of their sale times! I rounded up some of my favorite items from their Half-Yearly Sale! You’ll notice multiple different price points. I would not share anything that I would personally splurge on myself, so for the higher-priced pieces, I think they are worth every penny! Happy shopping 🙂 Sale ends January 3rd!

Merry, Merry Christmas! I can say wholeheartedly that having you all follow along with me on my blogging journey and supporting me is the best Christmas gift I will receive this year! This past week and a half has been so much fun sharing a little bit about myself, along with different outfits, a gift guide, and even a recipe! Seriously, my heart is so full! I am so excited to carry this into the new year and continue sharing with all of you! I hope you all enjoy this cherished time with your loved ones! The Best Peppermint Bark!

You guys…Christmas is in 3 days! Can you believe it? Things are in full swing this weekend with Christmas parties, going to look at Christmas lights…and of course, a little Christmas baking!

This recipe is a tradition that I started a few years back and is a GREAT treat to bring to a party, give to party guests or co-workers. You can wrap it up nicely and it makes a very inexpensive, delicious, and EASY gift! Now, who isn’t on board with that?

I absolutely love this time of year! I can’t get enough of it! I know it sounds cheesy, but there is magic in the air! Everyone is a little more joyful and kind, ready to spread the Christmas spirit. There is something about thoughtfully picking out gifts for you friends and family. Not to mention, all the beautiful decor around your home and around town. I honestly wished it would last a little longer, but it does make this season very special!

I also love this time of year because it means getting to do all of our fun family Christmas traditions. As my sister and I have gotten older, of course the family traditions have evolved – but there are still some things that will never change!

HAPPY FRI-YAY!! The weekend is almost here! The holiday season always has my weekends FULL, but I love being busy so no complaints! Plus I love all the time I get to spend with family and friends!

My name is Danielle (surprise! lol), I am a California girl born and raised, wifey to the most amazing guy, Aaron, and Mama to my fur baby, Zeke – or as I like to call him, Zekey Boy. I have lived in the Sacramento area for most of my life, but did spend some time away for college when I went to Long Beach State! Long Beach will forever hold a special place in my heart, I just love it there! After a few months out of college (and when the loans started to roll in…yay) I decided it was time move back in with my favorite roomies – my parents 😉 Everything truly happens for a reason, though, less than a year of moving back I “re-met” my hubby – I’ll share our story later! This blog is something I have thought about doing for a long time now…seriously years(!!) but there has always been something that stopped me…usually my insecurities. “Do people care what I have to say? Will people like what I share? I’m not a great writer. I’m not a size small. I live on a budget. There are so many girls way ahead of me. I don’t want to be that vulnerable. What if I fail?” The list could go on and on, but no point on wasting any more thought or energy on that kind of negativity!

This year, as I entered the heart of my late twenties, I decided to put all of those insecurities (and let’s be real…excuses) aside, step outside of my comfort zone and DO THE DANG THING!
